2-Day Errachidia to Merzouga Desert Tour

DAY 1: ERRACHIDIA → ZIZ VALLEY → ERFOUD → MERZOUGA

Your adventure begins with a convenient pickup from Moulay Ali Cherif Airport (Errachidia Airport) or your hotel in Errachidia. From there, we travel through the spectacular landscapes of southeastern Morocco, following the scenic Ziz Valley, famous for its palm groves, dramatic cliffs, and beautiful desert scenery.

Along the way, we will stop at a panoramic viewpoint where you can admire the breathtaking valley and take memorable photographs. We then continue towards Erfoud, known as Morocco’s capital of fossils, before heading to the impressive Erg Chebbi dunes in Merzouga.

Upon arrival in Merzouga, camels will be waiting for you to begin an unforgettable camel trek across the golden dunes. The ride takes approximately 30 minutes, allowing you to enjoy the peaceful desert atmosphere and spectacular scenery before reaching your desert camp.

At the camp, you will have time to relax, enjoy the surroundings, and experience the warm hospitality of local people. As night falls, enjoy the magical desert atmosphere beneath a sky full of stars and spend the night in the heart of the Sahara.

DAY 2: MERZOUGA DESERT EXPLORATION → ERRACHIDIA

Wake up to the peaceful atmosphere of the Sahara and enjoy a delicious breakfast at the desert camp. After breakfast, we will ride the camels back to Merzouga town.

Our desert exploration then begins by 4×4 vehicle, taking you deeper into the fascinating landscapes around the Erg Chebbi dunes. During the journey, we will visit a nomadic family living near the Morocco–Algeria border, giving you the opportunity to discover their traditional way of life and learn more about desert culture.

We will then continue to a village known for its Gnaoua musical heritage. Here, you can listen to traditional Gnaoua music, meet local people, and experience an important part of the region’s cultural traditions.

After exploring the desert and discovering its landscapes and culture, we will begin our journey back to Errachidia. At the end of the tour, we will drop you off at Moulay Ali Cherif Airport or your hotel in Errachidia, marking the end of your unforgettable Sahara experience.
